Christmas Treasures from MoMI's Jim Henson Collection

Part of Jim Henson's World (2020)
Friday, December 18, 2020, 7:00 p.m.

Featuring special guests Cheryl Henson, Dave Goelz, and Karen Falk

Make this a merry Muppet holiday season by joining us for a special behind-the-scenes exploration of characters, stories, and rarely displayed material from Jim Henson's many Christmas-related productions. Barbara Miller, curator of The Jim Henson Exhibition, will offer viewers special access to puppets and other objects in MoMI's collection from a variety of beloved holiday classics, which include Emmet Otter's Jug-band Christmas, The Christmas Toy, and The Great Santa Claus Switch. She and special guests Cheryl Henson, performer Dave Goelz, and Karen Falk, Archives Director at The Jim Henson Company and Vice President of the Jim Henson Legacy, will unwrap the stories behind these productions and objects, some of which have not been on view at the Museum, and take questions from the audience.
Tickets: $10 ($7 MoMI members). Buy tickets. A private link will be shared with ticket holders ONE HOUR before the start of the event. (Members may email [email protected] for their discount code.) All funds raised will benefit the Museum and its care of the Henson collection.
