Dir. Ritesh Batra. India, US, Germany, France, 2014, 105 mins. With Irrfan Khan, Nimrat Kaur
Nawazuddin Siddiqui. A mistaken delivery in Mumbai's elaborate and efficient lunchbox delivery system connects young housewife Ila (Nimrat Kaur) to Saajan (Irrfan Khan), a widower on the verge of retirement. They begin exchanging handwritten notes back and forth, leading to an unexpected friendship and possibly something more. Capturing the teeming energy of one of the world’s densest cities, as well as the loneliness that can lie at its center, The Lunchbox features Irrfan Khan—already an international star from his roles in Life of Pi, Slumdog Millionaire, and The Namesake—in one of his most poignant roles.

Free with RSVP.
