One day she mysteriously disappeared from campus. This intimate documentary, directed by Jiayan “Jenny” Shi, a former classmate of Yingying’s in Nanping, closely follows Yingying’s family and boyfriend’s journey to unravel the mystery of her disappearance and seek justice while navigating a strange, unfamiliar country. Incorporating her detailed and beautiful diary entries, Finding Yingying is also a testament to Yingying’s unwavering hope and optimism.
